Jerry Michael Bartnicki

Jerry M.Bartnicki, 60, of Colona, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no formal services at this time. The family will hold a celebration of Jerry's life at a later date. Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, is assisting with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family. Jerry Michael Bartnicki was born in Chicago, IL, on December 21, 1952, to William and Alice (Rutkowski) Bartnicki. On April 23, 2003, in Moline, he married Kimberly Mason, who survives. Jerry was an appliance salesman at Sears in Moline, for 20 years, retiring in October, 2013. He previously was employed, for 20 years, by Radio Shack in Chicago. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, and loved rollercoasters. In addition to his wife, Kim, survivors are: step-daughter Amanda Herrera of Rock Island, IL; step-son Stephen Simmon, Jr of Lake Geneva, WI; sisters: Joann Thomas, Shirley Billick, and Linda Carpenter, all of Chicago; and grandchildren: Marissa and Caleb. He was preceded in death by his parents.
