Jerry G Walton

Jerry G. Walton, 83, of Davenport, IA, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at UnityPoint Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL. Services will be Monday, April 25th, at 11:00 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a two-hour visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of the services. Burial will be at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation, Inc. Jerry was born in Struthers, Ohio, on October 25, 1932, to T. Donald and Charlotte E. (Guthrie) Walton. He was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. He married Donna J. York, who preceded him in death in 1999. He was employed by Titan Wheel Company in Davenport, for over twenty-five years. Jerry loved life. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, playing golf, and driving on scenic car rides. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Walton of Davenport; a son, Thomas (Katie) Walton of Moline; sisters, Judy Stahlman of Pennsylvania and Donna Crowley of Florida; brothers, Donald Walton and Jack Walton, both of Pennsylvania; and three granddaughters, Serenity Walton, Sheridan Walton, Skylar Porter, and grandson, Matthew Walton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, and his parents.
