His dedication to learning was further demonstrated by his ongoing doctoral studies at the University of Iowa.
On May 17, 1997, Jeffrey married Linda Fundell in Ohio, IL, and the couple settled into a life marked by love and mutual respect. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Vicki, his uncle and aunt, Dan and Laura Dickerson, and a cousin, Michael.
Jeffrey's professional life was as distinguished as his academic one. He imparted his vast knowledge to students at local colleges, including Marycrest, Monmouth, and Brown Mackie. His passion for teaching was evident in how he mentored his students and in the private guitar lessons he provided, nurturing the talents and dreams of countless individuals.
Jeffrey's interests were as diverse as they were enriching. He was an avid cook who found joy in the delicate art of pollinating and growing orchids. His home was often filled with the harmonious strumming of his guitar and the contented purrs of his purebred cats. He also found pleasure in the escapism of western movies, demonstrating his love for a wide range of cultural experiences.
