Jean E. Paulson, 79, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL. Visitation will be Friday, January 4 th , from 3 pm to 6 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Saturday, January 5 th , at 10:00 am, at Salem Lutheran Church, 1724 – 15 th Street, Moline. Inurnment will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Hope Creek Activity Fund, or Hospice Compassus. Jean Hoepner was born July 26, 1939, in Topeka, KS, to Harry and Mary (McDonald) Hoepner. She graduated from Rock Island High School. In June of 1960, she married Donald L. Paulson. Jean worked as a Keypunch Operator for Case-I.H. Company in East Moline, for 26 years, retiring in 1993. She later worked for Happy Joe’s Pizza and Always A Woman. Jean was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline, and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Kelly (John) Pingilley of Bettendorf, IA; her son, Kevin (Kathleen) Paulson of Scottsboro, AL; grandsons, Collin Pingilley, Matthew Paulson, Chris Rainbolt, John Rainbolt, and granddaughter, Sarah (Ryan) Fisher; great-grandchildren, Isaac Fisher and Evan Fisher; a sister, Harriette Wohlgamuth of Sarasota, FL; a brother, Donald Hepner of Moline; and a special friend, Maudi Etherridge, who helped Mom through some difficult times. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her life-long companion, Richard “Wik” Wiklund.
