Jack B Layton

Jack Layton, Age 66, of Rock Island, IL, died on Friday, January 19, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island. Jack B . Layton was born April 8, 1940, to Chester and Kathleen North Layton in Cincinnati, OH. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1961. Jack retired, after 30 years, from the Rock Island Arsenal. He enjoyed Civil War Reinactments, and studying military history, and loved his three cats. Services, with Military Honors by American Legion Post #246, will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church in Moline, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Moline, IL. Survivors include a sister: Kathy (Jim) Schlueter of Oak Park, IL; two brothers: Donald (Carol) Layton of Hawthorn Woods, IL, and Terry (Susie) Layton of Long Grove, IL; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
