Howard Paul Fraser

Howard P. Fraser, age 82, of Moline, IL. died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Howard Paul Fraser was born on December 21, 1924, in Moline, son of Thomas I.B. and Rosa Anna Duckwiler Fraser. He attended Moline schools. He married Ruth L. Cox. She died December 16, 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Armed Guard during WWII. He was employed by Sears/Signal Delivery for 36 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member and a deacon of First Christian Church in Moline, a member of the Teamsters Union, the Retirees Club, and a life member of American Legion Post 246. Services are 10:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Visitation is 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 9th, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park where military rites will be accorded by Moline American Legion Post 246. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Moline, or the Relay For Life. Survivors (and spouses) are his loving companion of 13 years, Marcella Reddig; daughters, Linda (Robert) Padgett of Palm Desert, CA, and Joan (Ken) McKitrick of Henry, IL; daughter-in-law, Candace Fraser of Moline; son Daniel (Karen) Fraser of Carbon Cliff, IL; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and sister Marie (Robert) Vollrath of Moline. He was preceded in death by a son, Bill R. Fraser, and a great-grandson.
