Herbert F Stout

Herbert Stout, 70, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, October 12, 2008, at his home. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Thursday, October 16th, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Herbert F. Stout, Jr was born in Moline on February 5, 1938, to Herbert F. and Elsie J. (Brookhart) Stout. On January 7, 1964, in East Moline, he married Lula Harland. He was employed by Voss Pattern Company in Davenport, IA, for 12 years. For the past 3-1/2 years, he was a custodian at Bar Jan in Milan, IL, last working in June of this year. He enjoyed playing and watching the game of Poker. Survivors include: his wife, Lula; two sons: Leonard C. Stout of Moline, and Robert L. Stout of Milan; three step-sons: Richard R. Carlson of Milan, John A. Carlson of Winfield, AL, and David O. Carlson of Davenport; a brother: Charley L. Stout of East Moline; three sisters: Luann Morris of Mattoon, Il, and Mary Kay and Shirley Stout, both of Evansville, IN; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Rex A. Stout.
