Helen Ann Hurst

View Video Tribute Helen A. Hurst, 76, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL.

Visitation will be Friday, June 26th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Saturday, June 27th, at 10:00 a.m., at First Christian Church, 1826 - 16th Street, Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL.

Helen Ann Radespiel was born in Peoria, IL, on May 4, 1933, to Herman and Katherine (Link) Radespiel. She married Homer E. Hurst, who survives, on August 26, 1951, in Peoria.

She graduated from East Peoria High School. She was a member of First Christian Church in Moline, and a past member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline, where she served as president of her circle for 18 years.

In addition to her husband, Homer, survivors include: a daughter: Deborah Jean (Terry) Erickson of Hampton, IL; a son: Michael (Isabell) Hurst of Davenport, IA; a sister: Betty Findley of Peoria; a brother: Walter Radespiel of Macomb, IL; four grandchildren: Lyle and Andrew Erickson, Nathan Hurst, and Angela Falco; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
