Harry Earl Mann

Harry E. Mann, 81, of Orion, IL, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at OFS St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be private family services held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 2208 E. 52nd St., Suite B, Davenport, IA 52807. Harry Earl Mann, Jr. was born in Moline on October 2, 1934, to Harry and Minnie (Asmus) Mann, Sr. On September 8, 1957, at First Congregational Church in Kewanee, IL, he married Velma Ruth Ainley. He was a graduate of Moline High School, and worked in several area factories. He retired in 1996 from Dayco Corporation in Rock Island, IL. Harry enjoyed motor sports and working in the yard, and especially loved his pets. Survivors include his wife, Velma; his children: Christine (Rick) Lester of Quincy, IL, Jeffrey Mann of Moline, Dennis (Marjorie) Mann of Rock Island, IL, and Jacqueline (Edwin) Christian of Andalusia, IL; grandchildren: Kelly (Alyssa) Maxey, Kimberly (Tim) McCombs, Hayley Lester, Matt (Marie) Olson, Ryan (Christina) Mann, Michelle (Jason) Cousineau, Allison Mann, and Angela (Cory) Czubara; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Katherine Haskins.
