Harlan Hunt

Harlan "Kenny" Hunt, 85, of Rock Island, IL, died Friday, November 2, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island. Kenny Hunt was born on April 13, 1922, in Morning Sun, IA. On April 14, 1948, he married Inez Kathryn Ezell, who preceded him in death on October 17, 2005. He served as a Machinist Mate in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Kenny was employed by the Moline Public School system for over twenty-five years, working at several of the elementary schools. He was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Moline, IL, and was a member of American Legion Posts in both Moline and Milan, IL. He enjoyed archery and horseshoes. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 7th, at 11:00 A.M., at First Christian Church in Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 6th, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, in Rock Island. Survivors include, his son, Jeff (Mary) Hunt of Oswego, IL; a brother, Phil Hunt of Davenport, IA; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and two daughters: Marcia Hunt and Becky Boll.
