Grace E. Noble, 76, of Moline, IL, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at Aspenwood Care Center in Silvis, IL. Visitation will be Monday, June 4th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be held Tuesday, June 5th, at 10:30 a.m.. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21st Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Grace Ethel Stewart, eldest daughter of Thomas and Lottie (Barron) Stewart, was born in Monmouth, IL, on August 25, 1935. On October 31, 1953, in Peoria, IL, she married Gerald Coe Noble, who preceded her in death on September 11, 2002. She retired after twenty years as a Nurses Aide & O.B. Technician, at the former Lutheran Hospital in Moline. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Lutheran Womans Missionary, and volunteered at Kings Daughters. For her whole married life, she lived in Moline. Grace enjoyed Little League Baseball, and her job of helping people, and she truly loved her children, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Survivors include: two sons: Roger (Debra) Noble of Alpha, IL, and Randy (Teresa) Noble of Bettendorf, IA; brothers: David (Mona) Stewart and Jerry (Ruth) Stewart, all of Peoria, IL; sisters: Nancy (John) Cook of Peoria, IL, Pam (Greg) Wooden of Bartonville, IL, and Judy (Dick) Thomas of Cuba, IL; twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers.
