Geneva "Judy" "Toots" Godwin, age 85, of Moline, IL. died Friday, August 10, 2007, at her home. Geneva Miller was born on November 21, 1921, to Erskine and Edna (Proffer) Miller in Fornfelt, MO. She married John H. Godwin on October 16, 1937, in Scott City, MO. He preceded her in death July 29, 2000. In her earlier life, she worked for the former New York Store in Moline, and as a cashier for the former Sam's Tri-City Foods. She was a 60-year member of Moline Gospel Temple, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Quilting Group at the church. She and her husband enjoyed riding cross country on their motorcycle. Judy loved birdwatching and flowers, and her cat, Annabelle. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be held on Monday, August 13th, at 2:00 P.M., at Moline Gospel Temple in Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to Moline Gospel Temple, Moline, IL. Survivors include: her daughter: Donna (Donald) Curtis of Silvis, IL.; two sons: Dale (Grace) Godwin of Rock Island, IL., and Jim (Connie) Godwin of Westminster, CO.; one sister: Janie Starnes of Harrisburg, IL.; two brothers: Francis Miller of Scott, LA., and Marvin Miller of Kansas City, MO.; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
