Gene Herbert Peal

Gene H. Peal, 74, of Geneseo, IL, died Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo.Gene Herbert Peal was born on April 4, 1933, to Herbert and Frances (Olson) Peal in Rock Island, IL. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.  He retired, after 30 years, from John Deere Harvester as an Experimental Field Mechanic.There will be no services.  A private family burial will be at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island.Survivors include: one daughter: Linda Ong of Phoenix, AZ; two sons: Kenneth Peal of Geneseo, and Mike Peal of East Moline, IL; two brothers: James Peal of Las Vegas, NV, and Jerry Peal of Rock Island; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.He was preceded in death by his parents.
