Fredricka Bartlett, 89, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, in her home, surrounded by loved ones. Fredricka Baker was born in Davenport, IA, on June 2, 1926, to Barney and Anna Baker. She graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO., with a degree in Liberal Arts. On July 22, 1948, she married Robert E. Bartlett. Married for over 50 years, they enjoyed a winter home in Palm Beach, FL, before moving out west to Arizona in 1995. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, loved the Bix Beiderbecke Festival, and enjoyed gardening, reading, board games, and her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Sara Lee. Fredricka supported the Maricopa County Humane Society and the North Phoenix women's shelter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Anna Baker, her daughter, Nancy A. Bartlett, and her husband, Robert E. Bartlett. Survivors include her daughter, Susan C. Bartlett, of San Diego, CA, her son, Barry R. Bartlett and his wife, Linda, of Chicago, IL, her grandchildren, Courtney and Christopher Bartlett, of Chicago, IL, and nieces Sandra Adler and Terry Baker, both of Tucson, AZ. Services will be held at a date to be determined. Fredricka will be buried at the Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, next to her husband.
