Fredrica “Freddie” Rudolph, 88, of Rock Island, IL, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, at Friendship Manor in Rock island after a long, happy life. Per her wishes cremation rights will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday, September 27th, at Homewood Evangelical Free Church in Moline. Visitation prior to the service is 9:30 to 11. There will be a memorial luncheon immediately following the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homewood Church. Fredrica was born in Moberly, MO, on June 4, 1929, daughter of Fred and Edna Zellars. She grew up in Decatur, IL, where her two children, Jane and Jim were born. In 1959, the family moved to Wilmington, IL. After many years of homemaking she worked at the family music store. Fredrica married Richard Rudolph in 1969, and lived in Joliet, IL. There she worked at the Louis-Joliet bank as a new accounts manager until 1973. She and Richard moved to Moline, IL, where she worked as a customer service representative at Southeast National Bank in Moline until 1997. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially basketball and tennis. She hosted a weekly Bible study group at her home for years. Fredrica was an excellent listener for family and friends. She was very gentle, kind, and friendly to all, and was selfless in caring for her husband, her children, and grandchildren. She was happiest when she was around family and friends, and especially loved getting together with the family during the holidays. Survivors include her children, Jane (Russ) Battersby of Morris, IL, James (Paula) Severe of Blue Grass, IA, Paula Adkins of Bowling Green, KY, Arthur Rudolph of Charlotte, NC, and Jeff Rudolph of Iowa City, IA; eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her husband and a brother, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Marie Severe.
