Frederic J. Siebenmann, Jr, 90, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Hope Creek Continuing Care Center in East Moline, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of his life will be planned for a future date. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Park Outdoor Ministries, 26449 – 1340 N. Avenue, Princeton, IL 61356. Fred spent many days and nights there as a volunteer. Fred was born in Moline on October 16, 1927, the son of Frederic Jean and Francess (Pruessing) Siebenmann, Sr. On June 17, 1950, he married Mary Francess Hansen, who preceded him in death on January 22, 2018. He was a member in the U.S. Army from February 28, 1946 until August 31, 1947. Fred earned a Masters’ Degree in Public Health, and was an excellent administrator at several county health departments. He served in Fulton County, Jackson County, and Rock Island County. He was a very active participant in many charities, including Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Church World Service, CROP Walk (where he was their all-time money-raising leader), Pals of Petersen Park (he and wife Mary organized the first Adopt-A-Park group in Moline), and John Keets AIDS Foundation. Survivors include his daughters, Patricia (Patsy) Lee Cummings-Siebenmann, and Kathleen Francess Siebenmann; his son, Frederic Jean (Melody Sweet) Siebenmann III; grandchildren, Nathaniel Cummings, Patrick Jean Cummings, and Allison Siebenmann; great-grandchildren, Chloe Cummings, Macey Cummings, Patrick Jean Cummings, Jr, and Finley Cummings; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Mary, of sixty-seven years, he was preceded in death by his mother and father.
