Evelyn I Johnston

Evelyn I. Johnston, 102, of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Heartland Care Center in Moline. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Evelyn Larson was born in Moline on November 29, 1914, to Charles A. E. and Anna M. (Johnson) Larson. She was a graduate of Moline High School. She was married to Alphonse Floming, and then in Moline, on February 18, 1995, she married Frank Johnston, who preceded her in death. She had been an employee of Ametek. She was an artist, enjoyed reading, and loved all types of puzzles. She was a self-taught pianist, and lived for Bingo. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Efflandt of Moline; a son, Donovan (Carla) Floming of Albany, IL; grandchildren, Cheryl (Chris) Johnson of Hudson, WI, Diana Dohmen of Hickman, NE, Linda Garrison of Moline, Donna Brolander of Minneapolis, MN, and Matthew Floming of Clearwater, FL; and ten great-grandchildren, including Dylan.
