Eva Joan Evans

Eva Joan Evans, 69, of Rock Island, IL, died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, IA. Eva Joan Stevens was born on June 27, 1938, to Scotty and Janet (Shelling) Stevens in Chilicothe, IA. She married Kenneth R. Evans in August of 1958 in East Moline, IL. He preceded her in death in 1983. Joan was a home maker and a custodian. She was a member of Moline Gospel Temple, and taught Sunday School in the Toddler Department at the church for many years. She loved being involved in Christian Services. Services will be held Tuesday, January 8th, at 6:00 P.M. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at 6:00. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Pathways Hospice. Survivors include: one daughter: Linda Evans of Moline, IL; three sons: Kent (Angie) Evans of Erlanger, KY; Mark Evans of Moline, IL; and Tim (Linda) Evans of Milan, IL; one brother: Bob (Barbara) Stevens of Chilicothe, IA; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Yackley of Hermiston, OR; and Sue Peterson of Silvis, IL; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
