Edward Lee Happel , of Colona , IL, died October 24 , 2020, at his home in Colona,IL.

Services will be determined at a later date, Wendt Funeral Home in Moline is assisting with the arrangements.

Edward was born in Sioux City, IA on July 25, 1954, to Loren and Arlene (Tuttle) Happel. He married Kelly Gilmore on March 23, 1990 in Moline, IL.

He graduated from Chariton High School, Class of 1973. He worked at Dahl Food, owned a painting business as well as being a bar owner, he retired working at Hy-Vee in 2011.

He loved spending time with his family and his hobbies were food, football, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Kelly Happel of Colona, IL, three daughters; Teresa (Aaron) Johnson of Roeland Park, KS, Jenna Happel of Moline, IL, Jennifer (David) Malone of Davenport, IA, and a son Cullen Happel of Colona, IL; seven grandchildren; Jaxon, Jonah, Jillian Helms, Ezra Johnson, and Damien, Killian, Breckon Malone, one sister; Marcia Roberson of Des Moines, IA; three sister-in-law’s; Lori Gilmore of Moline, IL, Leslie Buck of Davenport, IA, Michelle Lea of Fort Wayne, IN, one brother-in-law; Rob Gilmore of Moline, IL.
