E. Marie Vollrath

Marie Vollrath, 99, of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline. There will be no services at this time. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Euna Marie Fraser was born November 14, 1916, in Moline, to Thomas I.B. and Rosa Ann (Duckwiler) Fraser. She was a member of the Moline High School graduating Class of 1935. On July 15, 1941, she married Robert A. Vollrath, who preceded her in death February 22, 2013. Marie worked at the former Minneapolis Moline Company and at the former Montgomery Elevator (now Kone) in Moline. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline, and was active in the Moline’s Women’s Club. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Jean Carlander, of Chicago, IL; her son, Donald Eugene Vollrath, of New Berlin, WI; six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Howard Fraser.
