Drusilla Thompson

Drusilla J. Thompson, age 76, of died on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Genesis West, Davenport, IA. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 3 at 7 :00 P.M. at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, IL, immediately following the visitation that will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., that same day. Inurnment will take place on Saturday, February 6 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis, IL. Memorial may be made to the family. Drusilla Jean was born on November 5, 1933, to Esther (Schindler) and Walter L. Wood in Henry, IL. She married Clyde Sanders and then later in life Chuck Thompson. Drusilla graduated from Moline High School with the honor of Majorette State Champion 1951. She was employed as a medical secretary at Moline Public Hospital for 15 years before retiring from John Deere and Company in 1995. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, gardening and the outdoors. Drusilla loved spending time with her grandkids as well as traveling on many vacations. Survivors include one Daughter: Karin (Randy) Schonlaun of Davenport, IA; a son, Kraig Sanders of Moline, IL; two grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
