Donald L. “Pork Chop” Adams, 53, of Milan, IL, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at his home. Visitation will be Sunday, October 26th, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., with services at 4:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites will then be accorded. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. “Pork Chop” was born May 3, 1961, in Moline, to J. L. and Catherine R. (Watson) Adams. He married Margaret Rosie Spence, who survives. He was employed by the City of Moline in the Public Works Department, for over 20 years. He loved classic cars, and raced stock cars at the East Moline Speedway, and even drove a bright pink racecar. He was always helping others in the pits. His favorite NASCAR driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Survivors include: his wife, Rosie; his mother, Catherine Adams; a daughter, Tessa Adams of Milan; a son, Mathew Adams of Milan; a grandson, Korbin Logue; brothers, Danny Adams of Rock Island, IL, and Jimmie Adams of Coal Valley, IL; several nieces and nephews; and his grandpuppy “Buster”. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister-in-law, Pam Spence, and by his beloved dog “Max”.
