Diane Patricia Jeffery

Diane “Pat” Jeffery, 86, of East Moline, IL, passed into eternal rest Friday, March 25, 2016, at her home, with daughter Julie by her side. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 4th, at 10:00 a.m., at Union Congregational Church, 1811 – 53rd Street, Moline. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 3rd, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Union Congregational Church of Moline or the American Heart Association. Diane Patricia Steyaert was born in Detroit, MI, on January 30, 1930, to Cyril and Amy (O’Rourke) Steyaert. On December 23, 1949, in Moline, she married Elmus M. Jeffery, who preceded her in death July 18, 2008. Pat was a life-long member of Union Congregational Church in Moline, and enjoyed singing in the choir for over fifty years. She had an incredible spirit, and enjoyed singing, dancing, and acting. With a twinkle in her eye and always quick with a joke, she entertained and delighted audiences at Quad City Music Guild, Circa’ 21 Dinner Playhouse Theater, Bettendorf Community Theater, Marycrest College, Playcrafters Barn Theater, and Richmond Hill Theater. She loved traveling and adventure, and even drove in stock car races for a time. Her greatest love and joy of her life was her family. Survivors include a son James (Jan) Jeffery of Moline, daughters Jody (Tom) Hines of Appleton, WI, and Julie (Ed Veasey) Bustard of Rock Island, daughter-in-law Linda Jeffery of Albuquerque, NM, six grandchildren, Jaymin (Jackie) Jeffery, Jaylee (Chris) Martin, Patrick Hines, Emily Hines, Tyler Bustard, and Thomas Bustard, and five great-grandchildren, Addison, Lincoln, and Kennedy Jeffery, and Sawyer and Quinlee Martin. Special thanks to Stephanie and Lota who cared for Pat like family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son Daniel Jeffery.
