Debra Lynne Spence

Debra Spence, 65, of Moline, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center in Silvis, Illinois. Born on August 23, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, Debra was the cherished daughter of Richard and Patricia (Hughes) Spence.

Debra grew up in a household filled with the laughter and support of her four sisters: Margaret, Elizabeth, Pamela, and Sandra. Debra's educational journey took place at the Black Hawk Area Education Center, where she gained knowledge and skills that would serve her throughout her life.

Debra's biggest love and enjoyment was her family, however, she also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a penchant for collecting pennies, a hobby that showcased her appreciation for life's simple, often overlooked treasures. Debra's love for balls also reflected her playful spirit and ability to find happiness in the little things.

Those who knew Debra would attest that her presence was a gift, her kindness a comfort, and her thoughtfulness a rare quality that made her truly special.

Her father, Richard, and sisters, Pamela and Elizabeth, preceded her in death. Debra is survived by her devoted mother, Patricia, and her loving sisters, Margaret Adams of Milan, IL, and Sandra Septer of Moline, IL.

A private family burial for Debra will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kings Harvest Animal Shelter.
