Dawn M. Peck, 51, of Moline, IL, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL. Services will be Friday, June 8th, at 1:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Island County Animal Care & Control. Dawn M. Hardy was born in Rock Island, IL, on August 3, 1960, to Sherman and Christie (Hall) Hardy. She attended schools in Aledo, IL, and Moline, and was last employed as a hostess by Valley Vending Company of Davenport, IA. Previously, she had been employed by Rock Island Parks & Recreation, and Johannes Bus Service of Rock Island. She enjoyed all sports, including stock car racing, football, and boating. Survivors include: her life-partner of 21 years, Lee "Snook" Thomas of Moline; her mother, Christie Hardy of East Moline; daughter, Pam Peck-Rosembaum of East Moline; son, Bryan E. (Randi) Peck of East Moline; step-daughter, Nicole (Nikki) Thomas of Naples, FL; step-son, Nathan Lee Thomas of Taylor Ridge, IL; granddaughter, Leora Rosembaum of East Moline; and brother, Richard Hardy of Moline. She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Tina Bloomquist.
