David N. Dailey, 62, of Moline, IL, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at his home. Visitation will be Monday, June 28th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Tuesday, June 29th, at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline. Burial will be in Zuma Cemetery near Port Byron, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alleman High School. David Nathan Dailey was born in Moline on August 10, 1947, to Hubert and Elva (Hoff) Dailey. On September 1, 1973, in Moline, he married Julie VanLancker. He graduated from the Port Byron school system, Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, and John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He was in the practice of law for 37 years, from 1973 until his death. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Union League Club of Chicago, and was a former member of the Moline Rotary. He served on the Board of Directors of Port Byron State Bank, and held membership in Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Julie, survivors include: daughters: Ann Dailey of Washington, DC, Sarah Dailey of Omaha, NE, and Dr. Elizabeth Dailey and husband David Pohl of Seattle, WA; a son: John Dailey of Tempe, AZ; a sister: Melinda (Way) Thompson of Lexington, KY; and a brother: William (Mary Anne) Dailey of Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents.
