He graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Moline. He was a man with a deep faith in God, and he touched many lives in his quiet and loving ways. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family and friends. He so dearly loved watching the old TV series, and would often cite verbatim dialogues from them. The family would like to express appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Genesis East for the wonderful and compassionate care they did for David. We also want to especially give thanks to Pastor Kent Umbarger and Vicar Joe Warnke for their spiritual support and prayers. Survivors include his brother-in-law, Perry Aukee of East Moline; niece, Lisa (Keith) Wells of Johnston, IA; and nephews, Nathan (Sara) Aukee, and John-Mark Aukee, all of East Moline.
