Darrell J Heberling

Darrell Heberling, 95, of Monmouth, IL, died Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Courtyard Estates in Monmouth. Services will be held Friday, December 26, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Visitation will be December 26th from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Warren Achievement in Monmouth, IL. Darrell J. Heberling was born in Moline, on May 5, 1913, to John and Flora (Weidenhoeft) Heberling. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was married to Jeannette Blomgren from 1946 until her death in 1998. In 1999, in Moline, he married Virginia Carlson Dahlberg. He was an Export Manager for Deere and Company for 25 years, retiring in 1974, and was a member of the Quad City Camera Club. In addition to his wife, survivors are: a son: Jon (Armida Ayala) Heberling of Pasadena, CA; a step-daughter: Nancy (Gary Walby) Trefz of Destin, FL; and a step-son: Marvin (Nancy-Jean) Dahlberg of Galesburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chester Heberling.
