Darlene H. Schultz, of Moline, IL, passed away at her home, on her birthday, Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Services will be Friday, November 9th, at 1:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a one-hour visitation from 12:00 noon until time of the service. Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Animal Care & Control. Darlene H. Liedtke was born in Moline on November 7, 1921, to William C. and Bessie (Talbot) Liedtke. On March 24, 1940, in Muscatine, IA, she married William D. Schultz, who preceded her in death May 25, 2009. She was bookkeeper and secretary, for 35 years, for the Schultz Photography Studio, which she owned and operated with her husband. She retired in 1985. She was a member of First Christian Church in Moline, and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include, son Michael Schultz of Moline; granddaughters: Peggy Carpenter of Rock Island, Sonya Gilmore of Miami, FL, and Lisa Schultz of Lexington, KY; grandsons: Dylan Dray of Belvidere, IL, Robert Schultz of Moline, and Scott Schultz of Lexington, KY; great-granddaughters: Ashley Dray of Belvidere, IL, and Elizabeth Schultz of Moline; and great-grandsons: Mitchell and Zachary Schultz, both of Moline, and Andrew Carpenter of Rock Island. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Bonita Schultz Dray.
