Dale E. Godwin, 74, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 20th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Wednesday, November 21st, at 2:00 p.m., at New Hope Foursquare Church, 2305 - 7th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Hope Foursquare Church, or to the Moline Breakfast Optimist Club. Dale E. Godwin was born in Fornfelt, MO, on August 15, 1938, to John and Geneva (Miller) Godwin. On June 14, 1957, in Moline, he married Grace E. Jensen, who survives. Dale was a Real Estate Broker at Good Day Realty for 40 years, retiring in December of 2011. He was a member of New Hope Foursquare Church in Moline, the Moline Breakfast Optimist Club, the National Association of Realtors, the Quad City Area Realty Association, the Illinois Association of Realtors, the Iowa Association of Realtors, and he was a past president of the Rock Island County Board of Realtors. In addition to his wife, Grace, survivors include, daughters: Cheryl Godwin of Moline, and Cristy (Bob Walker) Godwin of Greenwood Village, CO; a sister: Donna (Donald) Curtis of Moline; a brother: Jim (Connie) Godwin of Henderson, CO; grandchildren: Matthew, Daniel, and Nichole Lerminez, and Iaian (Hannah) Weber, and Kaelyn Weber; and great-grandson, Jace Lerminez.
