Dale D Markin

Dale D. Markin, 54, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15th, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Thursday, July 16th, at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Dale was born in Rock Island, IL, on July 17, 1961, to Larry and Marsha (Russell) Markin. On January 23, 1992, he married Kristy Ramsey in Las Vegas, NV. He graduated from Moline High School and Hamilton Tech. He was a sheet metal worker at Toad’s Gutter Service in Davenport, IA, for 16 years, retiring in 2006. Dale enjoyed bowling, comic books, and music, and especially loved his cats. Survivors include his wife, Kristy; his mother, Marsha; a son, Shawn (Stephanie Fadiga) Ramsey; a sister, Kathy (Bryon) Wilfong of Moline; two brothers, Timothy (Donnis) Markin of Tybee Island, GA, and Jason Markin of Thousand Oaks, CA; three grandchildren; four nephews; and a close special friend, Tammy Marie Koenig of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother Larry L. Markin.
