Cullen "Cullie" R. Case, 90, of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Overlook Village, Moline.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life service and luncheon will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, 724 2nd Ave W, Milan, IL 61264. Cullie loved all animals, especially "his boys" (dogs).

Cullen was born February 25, 1935, in Aurora, IL. He was the son of Eugene and Elinor (Rutt) Case. He married the love of his life, Uvon Bigham, on August 24, 1957, in Moline, IL. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2014.

He was a graduate of Moline High School, Illinois State University, and Western Illinois University, where he received his Masters of Education. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany as a medical specialist and performing in the Army Band.

He was a lifelong member of First Congregational Church in Moline, IL.

Cullie had a 35-year career in education as an elementary teacher and coach in Coal Valley, assistant Principal at Coolidge Junior High School, and as a teacher at Moline High School.

He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and an avid golfer. He was proud of his hole-in-one! He loved traveling, and his favorite destinations were the beaches in Florida.

Survivors include his daughters Cynthia (Mark) Marietta, Bettendorf, IA, Kimberly Case, Moline, IL; grandchildren Brittany (Mike) Shelly, Bettendorf, IA, Austin Cullen (Malorie Jatnieks) Marietta, Longmont, CO; great-grandsons Mason Cullen Shelly and Luka Shelly; sister Sarah "Buff" Case, Moline, IL; brother Lawrence "Larry" (Anne) Case, Sydney Australia; sister-in-law Sandy Bigham, Cincinnati, OH; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother William Case and a brother-in-law, William Bigham.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Overlook Village and Compassus Hospice for their friendship, kindness, and the wonderful care they provided to Cullen over the last few years.
