Creel Leonard Ross

Creel Leonard Ross, 68, of Moline, IL, died on Friday, June 13, 2008, at his home. Creel Leonard Ross was born April 11, 1940, to Dr. Leonard and Sarah (Romine) Ross in Knoxville, IA. He married Janice A. Feely on November 21, 1969, in Rock Island, IL. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Creel was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 371 for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed drag racing, the Cubs and the Bears, Jeff Gordon of NASCAR fame, and he especially loved taking care of his family. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 18th, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 3535 - 38th Avenue, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. In addition to his wife, Janice, and his parents, he is survived by daughters: Amy Ross and her fiance Brandon Haff of Moline, Dawn Ross of Moline, Vicky (Dan) Binger of Moline, Rita (Rich) Rogers of Davenport, IA, and Tammy (Craig) Wells of Antelope, CA; sons: Jim (Kim) Ross of Rock Island, and Rick Garmon of Davenport; a sister: Donna Pagel of Oregon; eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
