Constance Jean Kubec

Constance Jean Kubec, 62, of Carbon Cliff, IL. died Sunday, September 30, 2007, at her home. Constance Jean Smith was born on September 21, 1945, to Leslie and Leonora (Golden) Smith in Chester, SD. She married James Kubec on May 3, 1966, in Rock Island, IL. She was employed at XPAC in Milan, IL, for 17 years, retiring in 2004. Connie loved her kids and grandkids, and enjoyed dancing, and working circle-word books. Services will be held on Thursday, October 4th, at 11:00 A.M. at the Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4th, from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include her Husband: James; two daughters: Marla (Ian) Klein of Galva, IL., and Brenda (Jon) Sturm of Praque, OK.; two sons: Shannon Kubec of Carbon Cliff, IL, and James Kubec, Jr of Rock Island, IL; two sisters: Lorena Carlson of Coon Rapids, MN., and Margaret Tibbs of Moline, IL.; three brothers: Darold Smith of Sioux Falls, SD., Jimmy Smith of FL., and Robert Smith of Anoka, MN.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild, and special friends: Ruth, Jerry, Mike, Mona, and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother, and one sister.
