Clarence K Kitto

Clarence K. Kitto, age 88, of Lineville, IA, formerly of East Moline, IL, died at the Pearls of Eden Nursing Home in Princeton, MO, on Monday, August 31, 2015. Services will be held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 2:00 pm, with a one-hour visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until time of the service. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Clarence was born on May 8, 1928, in Brownville, NY, to Everett and Agnes (Chapman) Kitto. On January 1, 1951, in Edwards, NY, he married Mary E. Ingerson, who preceded him in death in November of 1989. After high school graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a Final Assemblyman at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline from 1966 to 1990. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Ron) Smith of Galva, IL, and Aimee (Anthony) Arnold of Omaha, NE; three sons, Dr. Gary Kitto of Sedalia, MO, Mark (Diane) Kitto of Davenport, IA, and Joel (Peggy) Kitto of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Niles (Eunice) Kitto of Dexter, New York; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mary, and his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara and Rose Marie, and a brother, Harold.
