On July 18th nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, Cindi Myers was born at St. Anthony's Hospital in Rock Island, IL. An extra special surprise for Earl and Violette Myers, she was the spark that began a new era.
She quickly grew into an avid lover of animals and an artist unlike any other. Summer days were spent on bikes with her younger sister Debbie as they explored "Goods Woods". As the years went on, she ventured into the working world and eventually found lifelong friends and a special community waitressing and bartending at Lee's. It was there that her personality blossomed and many laughs were had. Later on, she began her 19-year career at Whitehaven Veterinary Center. In charge of boarding, it was Cindi's capable and loving hands that pet owners could leave their four-legged friends with.
In her spare time, she could be found making special gifts for any of her three nieces, watching a YouTube video on various home projects, planting in her ever-eclectic garden, or loving on one of her animals. To say she was special would be an understatement. She was an amazing friend, sister, and aunt who had a way of loving that could never be matched. The world was better because she was a part of it. Her memory will forever be a light in our lives that will never dim no matter how much time passes. To know her was a gift we will carry in our hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her mother Violette Myers, her father Earl Myers, and survived by her sister Debra (Greg) Ng Dung, her stepmother,
Deborah (Ed) Dixon, her nieces Grace Ng Dung, Maggie Ng Dung, and Lily Ng Dung Wilson, and her best friend and guardian angel Monica (Bill) Holst.
