Christine Lee Burroughs

Christine Lee Burroughs, 62, of Moline, IL, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center East in Davenport, IA. A visitation will be held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, on Friday, January 12th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Services will be on Saturday, January 13th, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Christine Lee Coulter was born in Owatonna, MN, on June 1, 1955, daughter of Leland and Delores (Svenby) Coulter. She graduated high school in Owatonna, and became commercially licensed to be a service representative in the insurance industry, and she was a Certified Customer Service Representative. On August 29, 1987, in Owatonna, she married Richard L. Burroughs, who survives. She was employed by Nelson Brothers Insurance in Bettendorf, IA, and Moline, IL, for fifteen years, last working November 8, 2017. Prior to that, she worked for Federated Insurance Home Office in Owatonna, and Fireman’s Fund and Westfield Insurance Companies. She attended Salem Lutheran Church, and was a life-member of V.F.W. Post 3723 Auxiliary of Owatonna, MN. In addition to her husband, Rich, survivors include step-daughters, Tamara (Walter) Cooper of Davenport, and Trisha Burroughs of Rockford, MN; her mother, Delores Coulter of Owatonna; and sisters, Susan (Bernie) Prihoda of Owatonna, Jeanne Townsend of Rochester, MN, and Cheryl (Tom) Braaten of New Braunfels, TX; six step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; three nieces, three nephews, eight great-nieces and –nephews, and her loving fur-baby, Gidget Elizabeth Burroughs. She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Coulter.
