Christine Ann Dejonghe

Christine Ann DeJonghe, 53, of Rock Island, IL, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at her home. Christine Ann Long was born on June 29, 1954, to Al and Doris Schewe Long in Moline, IL. She married James Robert DeJonghe on March 19, 1977. She was a financial service officer at DHCU Community Credit Union in Milan, IL. Christine loved spending time with her family, especially her two young grandsons. Visitation will be held Friday, November 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to the family to be given to local cancer research centers. Survivors include: her Husband: James; two daughters: Elizabeth and Melissa, and one son: James DeJonghe II; one sister: Cindy Laughead and her husband, Dan; two brothers: Albert Long and his wife, Sam, and William Long and his wife, Janet; a sister-in-law, Patricia Caldwell and her husband, Terry; her mother-in-law, JoAnn DeJonghe; two grandsons: Elijah Andrew and Isaac DeJonghe; and countless other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Dixie Kopriva.
