Cheryl A. Harper, 67, of Moline, IL, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center in Moline, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Wednesday, August 21st, at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 1611 - 41st Street, Moline. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cheryl's name to the Faith Lutheran Church Youth Ministry. Cheryl A. Housley was born in Davenport, IA, on September 14, 1945, to Frederick S. and Violet G. (Cunningham) Housley. On April 29, 1968, in Moline, she married Roy Harper, who survives. Cheryl graduated from Davenport High School, and, after attending Beautician School, worked in the business for 40 years. She last was employed at J & G Designers Salon, and retired in July of 2002. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Moline, was a member of the Altar Guild, and was a devoted Sunday School Teacher. She was passionate about her art, being a Decorative Artist, and belonged to the Society of Mississippi River Decorative Artists. In addition to her husband, Roy, she is survived by a daughter, Brandi (Chad) Parker, and a granddaughter, Emma V. Parker, both of Moline; a sister, Sharon Wilkins of Davenport; brothers, Harold Housley of Walnut Creek, CA, Skeeter Housley of Rosholt, WI, Eldon Housley of Haslet, TX, and Dick Housley of Addison, IL; 26 nieces and nephews, and 36 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings: Duane Housley, Bill Nicholson, and Karen Armstrong.
