Charles W. Rodelius, 88, of Moline, IL. died Friday, October 26, 2007, at Genesis Illini Campus in Silvis, IL. Charles W. Rodelius was born on June 4, 1919, to Charles and Maybelle (Benson) Rodelius in Moline, IL. He married Alice M. Madden on December 31, 1943, in SanDiego, CA. He served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He was employed as a Sales Manager for John Deere Co. in Moline, retiring in 1979, after 35 years. He was a Member of the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club and Christ The King Catholic Church, Moline. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and his time at Sanibel Island, FL, and skiing at Snowmass in Colorado. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30th, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Wednesday, October 31st, at 10:00 A.M., at Christ The King Catholic Church in Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, in Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ the King Church in Moline. Survivors include his Wife: Alice; his daughter: Julie Mayes of Albuquerque, NM; his son: Michael Rodelius of Charlotte, NC; a granddaughter: Melllisa Mayes of Albuquerque, NM; and a grandson: Stephen Mayes of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents.
