Charles E. Vanderlinden

Chuck VanderLinden, 89, of Moline passed away peacefully Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Hope Creek Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in East Moline.

Services will be Monday, December 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm, with visitation prior to service beginning at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Private burial will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice

Chuck was born on January 24, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the son of Charles W. and Irene T. (Cronau) VanderLinden. He married Priscilla Jean Lage on January 24, 1953.

He was the owner and operator of Home Comfort, a home improvement company in which he retired from. Chuck had his pilot license and enjoyed flying.

Survivors include his loving devoted wife of 70 years, Priscilla; sons: Chuck (Barb) of Rock Island, David (Lorel), Jon (Melissa), and Steven (Sherry) all of Moline; grandsons: Elliott, Oliver, Drew, Adam; great-grandchildren: Axl, Ace, Hayes, and Sage; sister-in-law, Carol Saelens; nieces: Susan Clark, and Catherine Alvarado; and nephews: Ryan and Taylor Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Alan; and one niece, Lisa Saelens.
