Charles "Charlie" Schneider

Charles Albert Schneider, known affectionately as Charlie to his friends and loved ones, passed away on April 6, 2024, following a courageous battle with a rare brain disorder at 53 years young. Charlie entered this world on April 29, 1970, in Davenport, Iowa, where he was welcomed with open arms by his late parents, George and Kathy Schneider.

Charlie grew up in a bustling household alongside his three older brothers, Robin (Michelle) Schneider, Scott (Ulrika) Schneider, and Wade (Piper) Schneider. The bond between the brothers was unbreakable, and they shared countless memories that will be cherished forever. Charlie's legacy continues through his beloved children, Haley and Austin (Teresa), and his adored grandson, Lars Charles Schneider, who brought immense joy to his later years.

For many years, Charlie dedicated his professional life to Nichols Aluminum, where he was not only a valued employee but also formed lifelong friendships. His coworkers knew him as a man with a big heart and an ever-present smile, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood.

Charlie was a man of many passions, with a love for the great outdoors. His competitive spirit shone brightly during family video game sessions, where laughter was the common language. A devoted sports fan, Charlie never missed a game when his beloved Chicago White Sox or Chicago Bears were playing, and he could often be found sipping on a cold Busch Light while cheering on his teams.

Those who knew Charlie will remember him as a loving father, a devoted brother, a doting grandfather, and a kind and funny friend. His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and his ability to bring laughter and light into any room was unparalleled. Charlie's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those he left behind.

Charles Albert Schneider lived a life full of love, laughter, and simple pleasures. His spirit and the love he shared will forever be remembered and missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Lady Di's in Park View, Iowa.
