Carolyn P Gnatovich, 83, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Moline, passed away peacefully November 17, 2018 at Friendship Village, Hospice of the Valley, Tempe, AZ. Visitation will be November 30 th , 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, IL. The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Carolyn Pearl (Sheraden) Gnatovich was born on 27 July 1935 in a farmhouse near Ollie, Iowa to Carl and Frances Sheraden. She graduated from Moline High School in 1952 and attended Moline Institute of Commerce in 1953 and 1954. Carolyn married James Tomlinson in 1954; they later divorced. She also had marriages to Gary Dobereiner and Sam Gnatovich. Carolyn retired from Deere and Company after 22 years of service. Prior employment included Modern Woodmen of America, Las Vegas Sun, Eagle Signal and Highland Park Bowl. She enjoyed traveling and dancing with her companion of 17 years, Douglas Fray of Scottsdale, AZ. Other interests included golf, bowling, walking, cross stitch, and especially spending time with family. In her later years she became an avid reader and was always in search of the next best romance novel. She is survived by daughter Tanya Seward (Kevin) of East Moline, IL; son Mark Tomlinson (Amy) of Moline, IL; grandchildren Brandon "BJ" (Tori), and Sheraden Seward, Aly, Carly and Tyler Tomlinson; great grandchildren Louis and Leo Seward and Ezekiel “Zeke” Pizano; brother Larry Sheraden of Rock Island, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Carolyn, lovingly called “Gaga”, was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
