Obituary: Carol Lytle Bastien Carol Lytle Bastien, 86, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Moline, IL. Services will be at First Federated Church, Peoria, on Friday, November 14th. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM with a one hour visitation prior. Memorials may be made to Tazwell Animal Protective Society, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL, 61554 Carol Fay Land was born on August 20, 1928, to Fay Land and Lucy (Pattee) Land. The youngest of four daughters, she was raised in Washington, IL. She married Ferrel Lytle and, with their four children, lived in Peoria. She was a longtime member of First Federated Church. Always creative, Carol was a gifted pianist, dancer, Bridge player, cook and gardener. Her wonderful sense of humor was ever present and she always put her family first. Survivors include daughters, Nancy (Bill) VanNattan of Peoria, Cindy Lytle of Rock Island, Beth (Dan) Osterman of Rock Island, and daughter-in-law Jill Lytle of Peoria, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her kitty Callie. She was preceded in death by her infant twin sons and son Bruce Lytle.
