Carol J. Titus, 77, of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at her home. With peace and grace, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Thursday, June 16th, at 1:30 p.m., with a one-hour visitation prior to the service, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Road, Bettendorf, IA. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. Carol J Stewart was born in Rock Island, IL, on May 3, 1939, to Roy and Vera (Spencer) Stewart. She was a graduate in the Moline High School Class of 1957. She was married in 1958 to Clarence Ryker, Jr. Later, on July 11, 1980, she married Leslie “Les” Titus, who passed August 17, 2012. Carol was employed for thirty years with Oscar Mayer Company as a quality control inspector, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, IA, where she was a greeter, and a pre-school assistant for fourteen years, who loved working with all the children. She loved playing euchre, eating her popcorn, working in her garden, and was famous for remembering everyone’s birthday with a singing birthday telegram, and of course, she loved the company of her dogs, Toby and Cassie. Survivors include her son, Clarence “Skip” Ryker III (Bambi) of Glendale, AZ; her daughter, Susan Miner of Moline; brothers, Paul (Lavelle) Stewart of Moline, and Dale (Lu) Stewart of Clinton, IA; brother-in-law, John Scott of Ocala, FL; and six grandchildren: Justin (Natalie) Ryker of Scottsdale, AZ, Colby (April) Ryker, and Conor Ryker, all of Glendale, AZ, Timothy (Janel) Miner of Moline, Steven (Elizabeth) Miner, and Joshua Bartz, all of Olathe, KS; eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Janice Scott, a son, David Allen Ryker, and her loving dog, Toby. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice or to the Family.
