Burton Daniel Hansen

Burton D. “Budd” Hansen, 97, of Moline, IL, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded, and there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity benefitting health research, of the donor’s choice. Burton Daniel Hansen was born in Chicago, IIL, on December 25, 1917, to Daniel S. and Anna (Magnuson) Hansen. On February 19, 1991, in Davenport, IA, he married Mary Norton, who survives. He was previously married to Mildred Wessel, who preceded him in death. Budd was employed by Eagle Signal Corporation in Davenport, retiring as a Foreman in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Mary; his children: Daniel of Rock Island, IL, Perry (Elise) of Port Byron, IL, Max (Karin) of Davenport, George (Wendy) of Mountainside, NJ, Catherine (Ed) Blando of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Martha Carlson of Davenport; his sister Marion Welty of Colona, IL; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Hansen, and a sister, Marge Carlson.
