Burr O Mcneal

Burr O. McNeal, 92, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, October 12, 2008, at Rosewood Care Center in Moline. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Wednesday, October 15th, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Aledo Cemetery, Aledo, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Burr O. McNeal was born in Mercer County, Illinois, on October 21, 1915, to William and Bessie (Fuller) McNeal. On January 1, 1941, in Joy, IL, he married Virgiline McCulley. He was a machinist at the former International Harvester Company East Moline Works, retiring after 22 years, in 1976. Burr enjoyed traveling, dancing, walking, and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife, Virgiline; a daughter, Ruthann (Orval) Farrier of Moline; a son, Larry (Jenny) McNeal of East Moline; a brother, Lee (Hazel) McNeal of Aledo; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
