Beverly J. Sweeney, 50, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at her home. Visitation will be Friday, October 3rd, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Saturday, October 4th, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Wesleyan Church, 4801 - 44th Street, Rock Island, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a college fund for her son, to the New Kingdom Trail Riders, or to the Moline Public Library. Beverly J. Randles was born in Moline, on October 31, 1957, to Paul and Bernadine (Williams) Randles. She married John D. Sweeney on August 12, 1978, in Moline. Beverly was a Claims Examiner for United Health Care for the past ten years. She was a supporter of New Kingdom Trail Riders, was an avid bowler, and was a member of the Bowling Stones on the Saturday Early Birds League. She was a 7-Gallon Donor at the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. She enjoyed reading, especially audio books, and spent many hours at the Moline Public Library. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Survivors include: her husband, John; a son, Patrick Sweeney, and his friend Brooke Christman, of Moline; five siblings: Melvia Hubbard and friend John Webb, of Rock Island, Paula (Bill) York of Moline, Juna (Dave) Douglas of Bettendorf, IA, Joe Randles of Coal Valley, IL, and Marie (Gary) Marsh of Verona, KY; four sisters-in-law: Sharon Sweeney of Chicago, IL, Mary Ann (John) Merano of Springfield, IL, Kathy (Jim) Jones of Davenport, IA, and Michele Sweeney of Milan, IL; twenty nieces and nephews, and seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
