Betty L Dewispelaere

Betty L. DeWispelaere, 80, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27 th , from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.  Services will be at the funeral home on Friday, June 28 th , at 10:30 am, with burial at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Center for Youth & Family Solutions, or the American Lung Association. Betty was born in Moline on September 11, 1938, daughter of Harlan and Glenna (Aten) Roberts.  She married Richard DeWispelaere in Rock Island on August 28, 1960, at the Broadway Presbyterian Church.  She was a graduate of the Moline High School Class of 1956.  She was employed by the former DeSaulniers & Company in Moline, the former John Deere Warehouse on 3 rd Avenue in Moline, the former Northwest Fabrics in Moline, and the former Catholic Charities in Rock Island.  Betty was an avid seamstress, and enjoyed quilting, motorcycle riding, dancing, and family games. In addition to Richard, her husband of 59 years, survivors include daughters, Stacy (Tom) Robb of Grayslake, IL, and Natasha (Kevin) Krueger of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Ryan Robb, Tyrus Krueger, Nolan Krueger, and Tenley Krueger; brothers, David (Susan) Roberts of San Pedro, CA, and George (Pam) Roberts of Moline; two faithful and devoted cousins, Sally Hackett and Gary Martin, and many cousins in California. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anna.
