Beatrice Dunahugh

Beatrice Dunahugh, 100, of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, at UnityPoint Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL. A High Mass will be held Friday, July 27 th , at 10:00 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church in Rock Island. Beatrice Marquess was born August 20, 1917, in Sedalia, MO, to Grover C. and Cora Mae (Wall) Marquess.  On August 28, 1937, in Clinton, IA, she married Kenneth J. Dunahugh, who preceded her in death October 13, 1992.  Bea loved her job as an Administrative Assistant at the Los Alamos National Lab in Los Alamos, NM.  She was there during the time of the Manhattan Project, and retired in 1979 after thirty-five years.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, attending the Opera, golfing, and taking care of her home.  Bea and her husband, Kenneth, especially loved being world travelers. She is survived by one niece and three nephews. In addition to her husband, Ken, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
